Job Summary
Casual baker role covering Tauranga cafés with a focus on pastry production and delivering high-quality food experiences. You’ll work in a busy kitchen environment, bake pastries, maintain food safety and hygiene standards, and start early mornings. The position is casual for 3 mornings per week with potential for more hours during events, requiring teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Preference for 1+ year in a commercial kitchen and/or baking, plus Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Must have reliable transport to work at multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- A passion for baking/pastry and commitment to food safety and hygiene
- Be available to work early mornings
- Relevant experience or chef qualifications and Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Pervious café/baking or production line experience desired
- Having reliable transport to be able to work at different locations
