Job Summary
Transport passengers between home and destination for external visits and other journeys as directed, ensuring the safety of the vehicle and passengers while collaborating with accompanying Passenger Assistants. Master the use of restraint equipment tailored for individual clients to transport students with Special Educational Needs, including those with medical conditions. Work on an as-needed basis with no fixed hours, potentially within 6 hours notice, during school term time only. Provide consistency in the SEND transport service by submitting weekly availability to Wiltshire Council.
Required Qualifications
- D1 on your driving licence
- relevant and clean driving license
- some basic know-how on vehicle maintenance
- master the use of restraint equipment tailored for individual clients on the vehicle
- safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults
- principles of inclusion and diversity in both employment and the delivery of services
