Job Summary
Control access to the facility and sensitive areas, escort guests and team members, and conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as assigned. Monitor and record activities within a daily log and assigned notebook, while observing transactions, slot drops, chip fills, and transferring items to Lost & Found. Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons, perform identification checks, and refer disputes to the Supervisor, Security. Attend to first aid incidents and provide medical attention as required. Ensure adherence to company policies, licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements. Work independently without close direct supervision in a regular casino environment involving standing, walking for long periods, and non-traditional hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry
- Must have valid BC Security License
- Must have a valid class 5 drivers license
- A current First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Responsible liquor service (SIR) certification
- Inquisitive, investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviors /transactions and make sound judgments based on this
- A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Able to organize data with great accuracy
- Self-motivator and ability to inspire other team members in enhancing the guest experience within the entertainment business
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to follow rules, regulations, policies and procedures at all times
- Must be able to work independently, without close direct supervision, and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
