Job Summary
Casual Maintenance Officer responsible for general maintenance repairs and gardening within ACH Group’s Residential Care Homes in the Northern and Southern regions. Tasks include safety-focused maintenance, preventative and unplanned maintenance, painting and paint preparation, pruning/mulching/mowing/edging, weed control, documentation, and providing outstanding customer service. Will participate on the on-call roster and perform duties to meet relevant standards. Must have a current driver’s licence and experience in building and garden maintenance, strong communication and computer skills, and a willingness to obtain/hold trade qualifications and WHS White Card. Position supports a friendly, inclusive culture with opportunities for in-house upskilling and employee benefits.
Required Qualifications
- A current driver’s licence
- Experience in building and garden maintenance
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Computer literacy, with the ability to use various software and databases
- Excellent documentation skills
- Flexibility in approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A trade qualification, working with heights certificate, WHS white card is highly desired
- Experience in a similar role in the aged care facility or similar is highly regarded
- A satisfactory police clearance for working with vulnerable people less than 12 months old at commencement of employment
