Job Summary

Assess patient health status using pre-screening processes to determine eligibility for biologics or specialty pharmaceutical therapies. Insert peripheral intravenous lines or establish central access via sterile technique, then handle and reconstitute medications per manufacturer and Health Canada guidelines. Review patient files and prior records, educate patients on self-administration, and document all care services in accordance with INVIVA policies. Monitor post-administration observations, report adverse events, and participate in drug and clinic audits. Maintain infection control standards, manage clinic supplies, and complete required training on products, policies, and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • degree or equivalent RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, Canada
  • Must be a member in good standing
  • Infusion certification
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to work at various clinics depending on region
  • Maintains yearly professional liability insurance (Ontario applicants)
  • Registered Nurse
  • Excellent assessment and clinical decision-making skills
  • Clinical, nursing and listening skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and proficiently, especially in emergency situations
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Team player
  • Ability to work in a computerized environment (i.e. computer, MS Office, email, and electronic patient records)
  • Adaptable to different kind of corporative environment

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • ACLS certification
  • yearly practice membership with provincial College of Nurses Association
  • Critical care specific designation
  • Oncology experience
  • Maintaining knowledge of medical therapies as per Health Canada's Product Monograph
  • Maintaining knowledge of INVIVA policies and procedures
  • Participating with drug and clinic audits upon request
  • Completing training as required by INVIVA on: products and services, policies, technology, quality assurance and communications
