Job Summary
Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety, address policy breaches, and respond to security alarms or emergencies. De-escalate crisis situations, exercise crowd control, and evict trespassers while providing first aid and medical support when required. Write detailed reports on incidents, emergencies, and daily activities, utilizing two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site operations. Manage lost and found items and inquiries, maintaining effective relationships with clients and patrons. This As Needed position in Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek, and surrounding areas requires a valid Alberta security license, ability to walk 18-20km, and Level C First Aid/CPR certification. Report to the Portfolio Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a valid Alberta security license
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong observational skills
- Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
- Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
- High School Diploma/GED
- First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Must be able to work both day and overnight shift rotations
- Must be available for deployment to various sites in Crowsnest Pass, Pincher Creek and the surrounding area
