Job Summary
Casual Family Support Worker (Visits Centre Assistant) at HMP Channings Wood in the visitor centre. You will help create a welcoming environment for adults and children visiting loved ones in prison, providing information and guidance, organizing activities for children, and ensuring refreshments are available. You will support families during challenging visits, apply safeguarding and child-protection procedures, work with colleagues and partner agencies, and contribute to improving family support services. The role emphasizes calm, sensitive handling of difficult situations and a hands-on, responsive approach within a prison visiting environment.

- Prison Vetting and a Disclosure and Barring Service check required
- verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK
