Job Summary
Duty Manager role at Brixton House focusing on leading the Customer Service Team during performances and events, ensuring high levels of customer care, safety, and smooth operations. Responsibilities include managing bar/front desk staff and ushers, coordinating staffing and breaks, recording timesheets, liaising with show companies and technical teams, handling bookings and enquiries, supporting café/bar/Kitchen services, onboarding new staff, maintaining knowledge of venue values, and promoting accessibility and inclusion. Requires strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task, event-day punctuality, cash handling, problem solving, and experience in motivating a team on shift. Desirable experience includes theatre or arts venue work, bar/kitchen service, familiarity with Spextrix, first aid, fire safety, and food safety qualifications. The role is based at Brixton House with potential remote/off-site activities for events and performances, with evening and weekend work as part of the schedule.
