Job Summary
Casual Demi Chef to join our kitchen team in Sydney, Australia. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards under the head chef, maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety protocols, organizing mise en place for efficient operations, assisting with plating and presentation, collaborating with kitchen team, supporting stock control, maintaining equipment and workspace cleanliness, contributing to menu development, and adapting to peak service periods. Skills: knife skills, fundamental cooking techniques, knowledge of food safety and hygiene, strong organisational and time-management abilities, ability to work collaboratively, and flexibility for casual working arrangements. Desirable qualifications include food handling certification and experience in A la carte dining, hotel operations, banquets, fine dining or specialised cuisine.
