Job Summary
Establish and maintain a safe recreational environment by providing an effective lifeguarding service on Randwick City Council's beaches. Make informed decisions regarding critical incidents, natural conditions, and weather while communicating effectively with the public to ensure compliance with beach regulations. Interpret open surf beach conditions across a wide range of environments to enhance the service image of the Council.
Required Qualifications
- NSW Waterways PWC Licence
- Bronze Medallion (Surf) and/or Certificate II in public safety (Aquatic Rescue)
- Class C Drivers Licence
- HLTAID015 – Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- PUAEME007 – Provide emergency care for suspected spinal injury
- Experience and proficiency in surf lifesaving or professional lifeguarding
- Experience and knowledge of open surf beaches in a wide range of conditions
- High level of physical fitness and health
- Current Working with Children Check
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
