Job Summary
Deliver category strategies for Manufacturing sub-categories (MRO, Engineered Equipment, MTI) and other indirect categories across the EMEA region. Consolidate regional demand plans, manage supplier performance reviews, and align local activities with global procurement priorities. Build strong relationships with internal partners and suppliers to drive value while ensuring compliance with bp's safety, compliance, and risk management standards. Support transformation initiatives by leveraging digital tools to enhance efficiency and promote adoption of new processes. Represent regional interests within category teams and collaborate with global counterparts to aggregate demand and remove delivery blockers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Procurement delivery across a range of Indirect Categories
- Foundational knowledge of category management principles and relevant category areas
- Understanding of how strategies are implemented across regions and assets
- Ability to quickly grasp business objectives and align them with category strategies
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Critical thinking
- Experience working within complex, multinational organizations
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Leadership as a subject matter expert supporting business and procurement goals
- Experience supporting international initiatives, with sensitivity to cultural nuances and data-driven decision-making
- Advocates for bp's Code of Conduct, integrating safety leadership and Operating Management System (OMS) principles into daily work
- Partners with the business to develop innovative solutions and remove delivery blockers
- Translates business requirements into strategic demand and delivery plan
