Casting Subject Matter Expert

Casting Subject Matter Expert to assist aerospace supply base with technical and process improvement opportunities across castings and forgings. Responsibilities include design & producibility support, design reviews with Engineering and Suppliers, cast source selection and capabilities assessment, inputs to cast design guides, advising on material selection and cast methods, drawing reviews with tolerancing and GD&T recommendations, quality/producibility reviews (e.g., pressure test, NDT inspection, weld repair), technical oversight, supporting Triumph work transfers, evaluating new cast sources and capabilities, reviewing tooling and tooling life, reviewing process sheets and part complexity, conducting technical assessments of design and process, and reporting to Supply Chain. Expect on-site supplier and Triumph site support as needed; energetic, hands-on attitude to lead and drive process control and improvement methodologies for assigned suppliers. Regular activity reports and collaboration with suppliers and customer needs; role involves practical tooling and process reviews on location.
