Casting Specialist - Jewelry Manufacturing

Job Summary
Operate and monitor casting machines to produce jewelry components, preparing wax models, investing molds, and handling metals during the melting and pouring process. Inspect finished castings for defects and ensure proper finishing before sending items for polishing or setting. Follow established production processes to maintain product consistency and quality while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the casting area. Assist with equipment maintenance and report technical issues to the supervisor. Adhere to all Shop LC safety and compliance guidelines. This role requires physical stamina to lift 20-50lbs and work in various environments, including tight spaces. Report directly to the Casting Specialist Supervisor within Shop LC's US operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Familiarity with handling metals and casting equipment
- Physical stamina to work in a production environment
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps
- Ability to move around to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Ability to frequently lift 20-50lbs and occasionally lift 50 to 70 pounds
- Ability to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Adherence to all Shop LC safety and compliance guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training in jewelry manufacturing
- Prior experience in jewelry casting or manufacturing
