Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain casting equipment by following company policies and standard operating procedures. Use hand tools, appropriate measurement equipment, and material handling systems to confirm product characteristics and inspect components. Complete minor maintenance tasks, troubleshoot process problems, and fill out daily production reports detailing work activity. Demonstrate general shop floor safety by using all personal and machinery safety equipment properly. Maintain excellent attendance while operating equipment with varying controls to ensure quality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience
- related training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
