Job Summary
Monitor production floor activity, verify safety standards and procedures, and oversee the production schedule while reporting changeover status and equipment availability. Manage Machining associates, ensure proper PPE usage, and prioritize jobs based on Supervisor requirements. Observe changeover tasks for accuracy, conduct quality checks, and maintain inventory control. Enter data in QAD, promote 5S activities, and monitor cycle times. Communicate issues to the Supervisor and perform other duties as required. Maintain strict adherence to KAAP safety rules and regulations in a hot, noisy industrial environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED equivalence
- 3 plus years leadership experience in automotive environment
- Previous experience with CNC machinery or similar environment
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Basic troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ability to read and comprehend basic English
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly
- Basic troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge
- Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification
- Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment
- Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
Desired Qualifications
- Crane and forklift experience preferred
