Job Summary
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on Casting/LMF equipment, including fluid power, mechanical transmission, water, pneumatic, and material handling systems. Troubleshoot and repair systems while operating mobile equipment and performing fabrication tasks such as torching, welding, and blueprint reading. Maintain a safe work environment through strong communication and teamwork with engineers, milltechs, electricians, supervisors, and operators to ensure uptime and reliability. Prioritize safety and assist operations as needed to drive production goals. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, grease systems, alignment, rigging, and remote-control cranes is required, along with a basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and electromechanical equipment. Previous mechanical maintenance experience in a steel mill setting is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A basic understanding of PLC's, HMI's, and electromechanical equipment that will aid in troubleshooting mechanical maintenance team
- An excellent safety and attendance record
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, grease systems, alignment, rigging, and remote-control cranes
- Fabrication skills that include torching, welding, and blueprint reading
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in steel mill setting preferred
