Cast Technician

Job Summary
Support an assigned physician during daily clinic by preparing patients and exam rooms for evaluation and treatment. Apply, remove, and adjust casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices while assisting with fracture reductions and procedure support. Monitor circulation, skin integrity, and proper device fit, then educate patients on cast care, brace use, and activity restrictions. Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Health Record and maintain casting supplies and equipment readiness. Perform additional duties to support efficient clinic operations and follow HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies. This contingent role is regularly scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of orthopaedic or casting experience
- Knowledge of casting, splinting, braces, and orthopedic devices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Orthopaedic Technologist Certified (OTC)
- Experience in an orthopaedic or pediatric practice
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience
