Job Summary
Assist a certified teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress; tutor individuals or small groups; participate on instructional teams; transport students to activities; prepare and organize lessons; administer tests and monitor IEPs; monitor student behavior; perform routine clerical duties; support classroom operations and equipment; assist with lab activities, field trips, and emergency drills; communicate with teachers and parents; maintain attendance and health/safety practices; demonstrate ability to communicate in more than one language; require regular attendance. Knowledge of basic subjects, safe practices, interpersonal skills, and record-keeping; ability to follow directions, learn procedures, and work cooperatively with others.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 48 college credit hours or successful completion of the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or completion of an Associate's Degree
