Job Summary
Drive a truck over established routes to deliver beverage products to customer businesses on highway, rural, and city street conditions while complying with federal and state regulations. Operate hand trucks and electric pallet jacks to conduct truck loading and unloading, secure loads, and collect or pick up empty containers. Perform daily inspection and routine fluid, air, and oil maintenance on the vehicle, and construct display aids from provided Point of Sale materials. Record sales, buy back, delivery, and variance information on daily records while operating the computerized inventory and invoicing system. Work without direct supervision, effectively communicate issues and customer concerns to the supervisor, and obtain customer signatures on receipts.
Required Qualifications
- Class A Delivery Driver
- Must be able to drive truck over established route
- Must be able to deliver beverage product to customer's place of business on highway, rural, and city street conditions
- Must be able to comply with federal and state regulations
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Must be able to effectively communicate issues and customer concerns to supervisor
- Must be able to record sales, buy back, delivery and variance information on daily sales or delivery record
- Must be able to operate computerized inventory and invoicing system
- Must be able to accurately record stops, deliveries, and any errors on the route
- Must be able to operate hand trucks and electric pallet jacks
- Must be able to collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise
- Must be able to conduct and/or supervise truck loading and unloading
- Must be able to secure loads
- Must be able to issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery
- Must be able to perform daily inspection and routine fluid, air, and oil maintenance on truck
- Must be able to maintain clean vehicle
- Must be able to construct or assemble display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials
- Must be able to wear Company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety and standards and procedures
