Job Summary
Protect Casino assets, ensure customer and employee safety, and enforce compliance with the Gaming Control Act, Liquor License Act, and Trespass to Property Act. Maintain a presence on the gaming floor to respond to inquiries or emergencies, control facility access for minors and intoxicated guests, and patrol assigned areas of the Casino, Hotel, and Parking Lots. Provide directions to patrons, document significant activities in reports, and deliver emergency medical assistance. Adhere to departmental quality standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Requires AGCO Category 2 licensing, First Aid and CPR certification, and post-secondary education in Law & Security. Part-time role with a start rate of $23.52.
Required Qualifications
- Individual must have or be eligible for AGCO Category 2 Licensing
- Must be able to pass and maintain First Aid and CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Law & Security or equivalent is an asset
- Concert Security or Casino Security experience is preferred
- Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset
- Excellent written skills, attention to detail
- Proven high level of Customer Service
- Organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities
- The ability to participate in Gateway's Use of Force & Passive Tactics Training Program
