Job Summary
Develop and increase VIP guest profitability by building strong professional relationships, actively work the casino floor to acquire new VIP business, encouraging club card utilization, and providing superior service and recognition. The VIP Host will consistently strive to exceed guest expectations through gracious, enthusiastic, and personalized service. Responsibilities include greeting VIP guests, managing player accounts and comps, coordinating with Executive Host and other departments to create exceptional experiences, identifying new VIP prospects based on leadership criteria, assisting with reservations and amenities, maintaining knowledge of Indiana gaming regulations and property policies, and supporting VIP events and promotions. Requires ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; multitasking; and professional appearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses and possess a solid understanding of promotions and events. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a professional demeanor are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Proficient in English verbal and written with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical data, financial reports, and internal controls
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from two to four-year college; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Flexible with working various shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours if applicable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and Indiana Horse Racing Commission
- Ability to respond professionally to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, staff, or members of the business community
- Retail or hospitality experience and customer service orientation (implied by role)
- Strong interpersonal communication, team building, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Ability to manage VIP guest accounts, comps, and promotions and coordinate with other casino departments
