Job Summary
Casino Cocktail Server — On Call position in a high-energy Las Vegas casino environment. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking beverage and food orders, entering orders into the POS, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food, maintaining knowledge of house drinks and menu items, upselling and suggestive selling, collaborating with bartenders and kitchen staff, keeping assigned areas clean, developing guest lists and promoting the venue, participating in marketing/promotional activities and media appearances as directed, handling cash accurately, adhering to licensing and safety regulations, providing guest inquiries with information about the property and offerings, anticipating guest needs, supporting staff, assisting with bussing tables and side duties, and maintaining a polished appearance and adherence to grooming standards. Requires strong customer service, flexibility to work nights/weekends/holidays, the ability to stand/walk for extended periods, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, smoky casino environment. Qualification includes 21+ years old, high school diploma, 2+ years of cocktail-server experience in high-volume settings, cash handling experience, knowledge of spirits/wine/champagne/cocktails, and licenses/permits as required; certification in alcohol awareness and Food Handler Safety Training, with a willingness to obtain necessary licenses. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of previous experience as a cocktail server in a similar, high-volume environment
- At least six months of previous cash handling experience
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, and cocktails
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with guests and team members
- Must be willing to wear a branded, costume-style uniform as assigned
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods while wearing a minimum of 2-inch heels
- Hair and makeup must be styled and maintained in a polished, professional manner
- Polished appearance and confident demeanor; must meet department grooming standards
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including carrying and balancing trays, lifting up to 30 pounds
- Must possess or be able to obtain an alcohol awareness card and Food Handler Safety Training Card
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
- PREFERRED Knowledge of basic food and beverage service standards and table service techniques
- Experience in marketing, social media engagement, or guest list development
- Multilingual skills
