Job Summary
Cashier for Wilcox + Flegel, the face of our organization to customers, handling transactions (cash, card, checks), issuing receipts, processing refunds/credits, and assisting customers by providing product information. Responsibilities include ringing up purchases, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, stocking shelves with price tags, ensuring accurate cash drawer counts, and completing shift and temperature reports. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Training requirements include obtaining a food handlers card and CPR certification; prior experience as a store clerk is preferred. Wage opportunities start at $17.50/hour with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within a stable, team-oriented employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Have or be able to obtain a food handlers card at start of position
- Attend Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training
- Attend and pass any other required training
- Ability to operate cash register and basic math
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs
