Job Summary
Cashier Trainee at Foley Retail: greets customers, rings up sales, and delivers friendly, attentive service; handles cash transactions, balances cash drawers, and processes donations through the round-up program; supports store housekeeping, stock rotation, and merchandising under supervision; must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; prior service-industry experience preferred; High School diploma or GED preferred. This temporary role (up to 90 days) offers on-the-job training with potential for conversion based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Experience in service industry preferred
- Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people
- Must count money quickly and accurately
- Must market Goodwill and explain the mission
- Must take initiative and work with little supervision
- Must maintain good working relationships with employees
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress
