Job Summary
The Sales Associate serves as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering excellent service and accurately processing fuel and merchandise sales. This role ensures shelves are stocked, products are available, and store operations run efficiently while supporting overall profitability. Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer experiences, maintaining a clean and fully stocked store, preparing food and beverages per health standards, handling cash and merchandise responsibly, completing shift reports and balancing the cash register, verifying customer ID for restricted purchases, supporting store operations, and applying sales techniques to support profitability. Flexibility to work mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays is required and the candidate should demonstrate strong customer service and the ability to adapt to customer needs, with emphasis on safety and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a convenience store, restaurant, or retail environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
