Job Summary
Cashier responsibilities include receiving cash, checks, and credit card payments, making correct change and issuing receipts; answering phones, directing customers, and minimizing hold times; handling customer complaints and referring to the appropriate department; maintaining a friendly, professional, courteous demeanor; and assisting managers with clerical duties. The role requires effective communication of customer needs, a professional appearance, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays; background screening is required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends and some holidays
- Ability to effectively communicate customer interests, needs and requests to management and other personnel
- Professional appearance
