Job Summary
Operate cash registers and electronic scanners to itemize and total customer purchases, receive payment, and assist in bagging groceries including dry goods, frozen foods, dairy, produce, and meat. Process financial transactions for cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, and coupons accurately per company policy. Weigh and bag customer purchases while managing check-stand merchandising and ensuring proper product identification and pricing. Comply with security, cash handling, and food safety guidelines, maintaining a clean, stocked department. Stand and walk for extended periods while lifting up to 30 pounds frequently. Requires high school diploma, one year of retail experience, and strong customer service skills. Located in Harrison, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of prior retail or related experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Ability to work in a varied temperature retail store environment
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Ability to comply with PPE and Safety Guidelines
- Ability to comply with Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
- Ability to follow guest experience guidelines
