Job Summary
Cashier position operating a cash register and electronic scanner to itemize and total customer purchases, processing cash, checks, credit cards, EBT/WIC/loyalty programs, and other transactions accurately; bagging purchases; communicating store programs and in-store promotions; ensuring pricing accuracy and safety standards; maintaining a clean, well-stocked front-end and providing courteous customer service. Requires ability to weigh items, manage PLUs, report pricing or signage errors, and follow PPE and safety guidelines. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior retail experience encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- One year of prior retail or related experience preferred
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
