Job Summary
As a Cashier at SpartanNash, you will be responsible for operating the cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases and process various payment methods in a courteous manner. Your role includes ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication about store programs, handling financial transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized check-stand. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Prior retail experience is preferred, along with organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.
Desired Qualifications
- One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
- Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
- Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
