Job Summary
Operate the cash register to process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit, and debit cards while managing reconciliation. Provide customer service by greeting patrons, answering inquiries, and resolving concerns, while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Perform janitorial duties including cleaning the checkout area and restocking supplies, plus stock shelves and coolers as directed. Assist with lifting and carrying heavy items to support store operations. Work flexible shifts including Saturdays from 12pm-8pm and Sundays from 10am-7pm.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift and carry heavy weights safely
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems and cash register operations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Prior experience in merchandise stocking, janitorial or maintenance duties within a retail environment
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Customer service training or certification
