Job Summary
Greet customers entering and exiting the store, explain Scheels Visa Rewards card benefits, and end every transaction with a "thank you." Accurately balance the cash drawer, maintain a clean working environment, and engage in conversation to add a personal touch. Perform basic math tasks, read instructions, and maintain a professional appearance while contributing to a team atmosphere focused on pride and growth. Work assigned schedules between 7 a.m. and 9 p., Monday through Saturday, and Sundays, with an average of 20 hours per week. High school diploma or GED preferred with 1-3 months of cashiering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED preferred and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience
- Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Ability to work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- Strong oral/written communication and reading skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
