Job Summary
The Cashier at SCHEELS is responsible for greeting customers, promoting the Scheels Visa Rewards card, balancing the cash drawer, and maintaining a clean work environment. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a desire for personal growth and team collaboration. A high school diploma or GED is preferred along with some cashiering experience. Flexibility for varied hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Service
- Ability to perform basic math; compute rate, ratio and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation
- Demonstrates strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral/written communication and reading skills
- Ability to work assigned schedules which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
Additional Requirements
- Must be available a minimum of two weekends a month
- Must be available 2 nights per week (4:45pm-9:00pm)
