Job Summary
The Cashier / Sales Associate is responsible for receiving payments from customers, issuing receipts, operating the cash register, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires verifying product counts, following company policies regarding carding for alcohol and cigarettes, checking in vendors, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking merchandise, and operating the lottery machine. The position demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and reliability, with responsibilities that include handling cash transactions, maintaining safety and security standards, and supporting a positive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and recognize words and numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables

- Ability to interact and provide outstanding customer service
- Successfully complete a TIPS class/Liquor liability training/Chemical training
