Job Summary
Greet customers, run the register with accuracy, and handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while verifying age and legal requirements. Offer friendly service, upsell when possible, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh. Maintain a clean store by deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows. Cross-train in other departments including the deli as needed. Work weekends and holidays in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs. Full-time and part-time schedules available with weekly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- You have a friendly demeanor and a knack for making people feel welcome
- You notice the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience
- You're punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in your work
- You're adaptable and ready to take on a variety of tasks in our fast-paced environment
