Job Summary
Greet customers, run the register with accuracy, and expertly handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while verifying age and legal requirements. Deep clean high-use restrooms, sanitize gas pumps, remove litter from the lot, and stock shelves and displays to maintain a fresh store environment. Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways while cross-training in deli and other departments as needed. Work weekends and holidays in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pass a drug screen and background check. Join a team where we promote from within.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail
- Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- You have a friendly demeanor and a knack for making people feel welcome
- You notice the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience
- You're punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in your work
- You're adaptable and ready to take on a variety of tasks in our fast-paced environment
