Job Summary
Greet customers, run the register with accuracy, and handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while verifying age and legal requirements. Offer friendly service and upsell to increase sales. Maintain store cleanliness by deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, removing litter, and taking out trash in all weather. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; sweep, mop, and maintain entryways. Cross-train in other departments as needed. Work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- Friendly demeanor
