Job Summary
Greet customers, run the register with accuracy, and handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while verifying age and legal compliance. Offer friendly service and upsell to increase sales. Maintain store cleanliness by deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking out trash in all weather. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways. Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed. Follow safety procedures and company policies while working full-time or part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- Friendly demeanor and a knack for making people feel welcome
