Job Summary
Greet customers, run the register with accuracy, and handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while verifying age and legal compliance. Offer friendly service, upsell when possible, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh. Maintain a clean and safe store by deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking out trash in all weather. Sweep floors, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways. Willingly cross-train in other departments like deli as needed. Work weekends and holidays, embracing the full rhythm of retail.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- You have a friendly demeanor and a knack for making people feel welcome
- You notice the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience
- You're punctual, trustworthy, and take pride in your work
