Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, run the register with accuracy, and process lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while verifying age and legal compliance. Offer friendly service and upsell to increase revenue. Maintain a clean and safe store by deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, removing litter, and sweeping entryways. Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise fresh. Cross-train in other departments such as the deli as needed. Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working full-time or part-time shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older if located in CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO
- Must be 21 years of age or older for all other states
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Willingness to work hard and stay on your feet for most of your shift
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
- Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be subject to a criminal history background check
- Friendly demeanor and a knack for making people feel welcome
