Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, engage in conversation to deliver personalized service, and accurately scan every item while ensuring merchandise is rung through and paid for. Treat purchases with care, bag efficiently, and promote the Scheels Visa card and digital receipt program to every shopper. Perform basic math, calculate discounts, make change, and balance the cash drawer by operating the computerized register and following all cash handling policies. Maintain awareness of in-store events and promotions while keeping the checkout area stocked and clean.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred
