Job Summary
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty programs, and bagging products. Deliver exceptional service by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing them about products and services. Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge, maintain safety and cleanliness standards, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws related to alcohol sales. Complete cross-functional responsibilities as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate as assigned. Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs while working a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day
- Must be able to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets
- Must be able to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly
- Must be able to safely handle various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday
- Must be able to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol
- Must be able to maintain a safe and compliant store environment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Passion for best-in-class customer service
- Team player mindset
- 1-3 years of work experience
- 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
