Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, engage in conversation to deliver personalized service, and accurately scan every item while ensuring proper payment. Treat merchandise with care, bag purchases efficiently, and promote the Scheels Visa card and digital receipt program to every shopper. Perform basic math, calculate discounts, make change, and accurately balance the cash drawer while operating the computerized register system. Maintain awareness of in-store events, keep the checkout area stocked and clean, and end every transaction with a thank you. Work flexible shifts between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, including holidays, with an average of 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday
- Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred
