Job Summary
As a Lowe's cashier, deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience and provide helpful service to customers. You will scan and bag items, manage a cash register, handle payments and exchanges, answer customer questions, and assist with related duties such as stocking and keeping a clean, safe workstation. The role involves standing for extended periods and performing basic arithmetic, with opportunities for growth through tuition assistance, a company-matching 401(k), employee discount, and other benefits. The position emphasizes flexible scheduling in a part-time capacity and a team-oriented environment. Bilingual skills and prior retail or customer service experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
- Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state
- Preferred Qualifications: Retail and/or customer service experience, Bilingual skills, Travel not required beyond occasional meetings
