Job Summary
Provide a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience; proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area; scan and bag items accurately and efficiently; manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges; answer customer questions; help maintain a clean, safe workstation; and perform other duties as assigned such as assisting other departments, stocking shelves, or moving carts. The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy in transactions, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with a part-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic
- Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods
- Experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information)
- Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state
- Experience in retail and/or customer service is preferred
