Job Summary
Cashier position at Cosentino’s Price Chopper #359 in Belton, MO. Responsibilities include processing payments (cash, checks, gift cards, credit/debit, government assistance programs such as WIC/food stamps), issuing receipts and change, operating cash registers and related equipment, handling PLUs and produce department items, ensuring a clean and professional front-end, resolving customer complaints, complying with health, sanitation and safety regulations, and providing courteous customer service. Requires knowledge of weights and measures, ability to perform basic math and reading, and adherence to government regulations for alcohol and tobacco sales. A liquor license may be required prior to start. Non-exempt, with part-time schedule expectations and potential training per Cosentino’s Learning Plan. Preferred education is high school diploma or equivalent."
Required Qualifications
- A valid liquor license must be obtained prior to first day on the job (if applicable).
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
- Operate electronic cash registers, scanners, check verification equipment, and other payment processing devices.
- Know and comply with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and store.
