Job Summary
Complete transactions, handle money responsibly, and maintain accuracy of point of sale purchases while utilizing technology to create positive customer experiences. Use good eye contact and body language to display a friendly attitude, answer customer questions appropriately, and build trustful relationships to encourage return visits. Maintain accuracy of point of sale purchases and operate the cashier register system efficiently. This role supports Meijer's mission to serve people and communities as a family company.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually
- Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
- Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary
- Desire to work with customers
- Good verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Friendly outgoing attitude
- Ability to operate cashier register system
