Cashier

The cashier will process monetary transactions at the cash register, greet customers, and provide general store support. Responsibilities include operating the cash register with UPC scanner and product keywords, accepting cash, checks, and cards, helping customers locate products, answering questions, balancing the cash register at the start and end of shifts, processing returns/exchanges, stocking and facing products, assisting with housekeeping, attending meetings and training, and performing other duties. Excellent customer service, strong verbal communication, basic math for making change, and knowledge of store policies are required. The role may involve working nights, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with on-the-job training and levels 1 and 2 of training offered; physical requirements include standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
