Job Summary
As a Cashier at Luby's, you will be responsible for providing accurate point of sale transactions and friendly service to enhance guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include taking orders, processing payments, restocking items, and ensuring the front of the house is neat and orderly. Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work varied schedules, and are required to undergo a background check and cashier certification. Prior experience is a plus, but training is offered.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience is preferred, but is not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must submit to a background check prior to starting any cash handling position and pass Luby’s Cashier Certification criteria
- Must have good organizational skills
- Previous experience working with a Point of Sale (POS) system is a plus
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be a team player
