Job Summary
We are seeking a Cashier who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Responsibilities include taking orders, processing payments, maintaining a tidy front of the house, restocking items, and answering phones. The role emphasizes providing accurate point of sale transactions and excellent customer service to encourage guest return. Training is provided; previous experience is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must submit to a background check prior to starting any cash handling position and pass Luby’s Cashier Certification criteria
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must be a team player
- Must be open to varied work schedules and hours depending on the restaurant’s needs
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Good organizational skills
