Job Summary
Cashier position responsible for managing transactions with customers, operating a cash register and product scanner, ensuring pricing accuracy, accepting payments (cash, credit, or check) and providing receipts. Must balance the cash drawer, balance transactions, greet customers, help with returns/refunds, and assist with bagging/wrapping purchases. Requires solid math skills, basic computer knowledge, excellent communication, and ability to upsell/cross-sell when appropriate; prior cashier experience is an advantage and being a friendly, helpful team player is essential.
Required Qualifications
